Meghan (The Mental Mom) is a happily divorced, therapist and mother of two, school aged daughters. She graduated from Ball State University in 2005 with a major in Journalism and a minor in Gender Studies. Meghan wrote a relationship column called Meet Market for the Muncie Star Press and then worked as a newspaper reporter just outside of Indianapolis until she realized how much she truly wanted to become a therapist. She graduated from Indiana University Purdue University in Indianapolis in 2009 with a Masters in Social Work concentrating on Mental Health and Addiction; she later obtained her license to practice independently and has been doing so since 2013. Meghan has struggled with anxiety, depression and ADHD for decades. After giving birth to her daughters the symptoms increased and she has been on a quest to find balance and serenity since then! Still a work in progress, Meghan hopes her project “The Mental Mom” will spread awareness and provide a sense of comfort and support to other parents who understand the struggle is real – when you are responsible for raising humans!
Meghan resides in Southern Indiana (right outside of Louisville) but spends much of her time in Indianapolis with her boyfriend and creative partner, Casey Harper, her three brothers, parents and best friend.
